Best College Basketball Picks and Player Props, February 21, 2026
March gets most of the attention for college basketball, but February has its share of big games as well. That’s why it’s considered to be the toughest month on the college basketball schedule.
Every team is deep in conference play, and that means the biggest games get magnified. At the other end of the spectrum, injuries and defeats can catch up with a team and ruin their spirits.
When a team gets beaten down by a lot of losing, that’s just as good to a bettor. This type of team can disintegrate quickly when it faces a strong opponent, especially on the road. If the game gets out of reach in the first few minutes, a struggling team might lose hope. That can open the door for a blowout and an easy cover.
Here are the best college basketball picks and player props for February 10.
Best NCAAB Parlay Picks
Penn State vs. Nebraska (-18.5, -110, via FanDuel)
To its credit, Penn State managed to get a win on the road. But the Nittany Lions haven’t done that often, and they immediately followed up the win over Washington with a double-digit loss at Oregon.
This one is likely to be much worse. Nebraska has made some good teams look bad this year, and Penn State is anything but. The Nittany Lions have five losses away from home by at least 20, three of which came by more than 30. Penn State looks like it wants this season over with as soon as possible.
That makes a perfect foil for Nebraska, which wants to get some momentum back on its side in front of its fans. The Huskers should be able to name the final score.
Connecticut vs. Villanova (O140.5, -110, via FanDuel)
It’s no secret that Dan Hurley has been unhappy with Connecticut’s defense. It’s also no secret that Villanova plays at a slow tempo, so the books are expecting a quick correction and a strong defensive showing from the Huskies here.
But Connecticut had been playing with fire for weeks. The Huskies haven’t looked right on defense at any point in February, and Villanova’s offense has been playing pretty well. There’s also the fact that this game means everything to Villanova. The Wildcats are at home, and one win is likely to seal their NCAA tournament spot.
Hurley’s a great coach, but it’s unlikely that he’s gotten the Connecticut defense fixed in three days. This total should be manageable.
North Carolina vs. Syracuse (+2.5, -110, via FanDuel)
This game might decide whether Syracuse coach Adrian Autry still has a job next year. It might already be too far gone, but if he wants another season running the Orange, a win here is a must.
The books don’t yet know what to do with North Carolina with Caleb Wilson on the shelf. The Tar Heels clearly are not the same team without him, but the books haven’t priced that accurately yet. They thought they did last time out, but NC State easily covered the spread in a rout of Carolina in Raleigh.
Syracuse getting points at home says the number is still too high. With the Orange likely fired up, taking the points makes the most sense.
NCAAB Parlay Pick: Nebraska -18.5/Connecticut-Villanova Over 140.5/Syracuse +2.5 (+573)
Best College Basketball Prop Picks
Kingston Flemings, Over 19.5 Points, (-110, via FanDuel)
Arizona against Houston represents possibly the best game of the day, but it’s too even and the teams are too different in their play styles to make either the spread or total enticing. Instead, look to Flemings, the Cougars’ star scorer, to take advantage of lapses in the Arizona defense.
Houston is one of the most efficient teams in the nation, and the Cougars know they’ll need to keep scoring to match Arizona’s style of play. That means getting Flemings the ball and letting him find his shot. He’s coming off a 22-point night at Iowa State, and playing at home should set him up for a similar performance.
