Best College Basketball DFS Picks and Player Props for Today, Dec. 16
If you want a break from traditional sports betting and want to go back to the good old days of wagering in the United States, Daily Fantasy Sports have become one of the most popular ways to get in on the action. Regardless of which DFS site you use, college basketball is extremely exciting, since there are nearly 400 Division I teams, and finding diamonds in the rough will see you win big money. Of course, no matter what the DFS promotions are for that day, there's no way that operators can price every player from every team, so they generally give you players from a list of notable games.
It's important in DFS to not only select the best-scoring team, but to choose differential players as well. This means picking high-scoring players who will be drafted by just a small percentage of the population. That's how you build a powerhouse team.
Today’s Best DFS Lineup

G: Martin Somerville, Florida State ($4,400)
While Somerville is only averaging 8.6 points per game, he's shooting well over 40% from three and leads the team with over two steals per game.
Tonight could be a huge game for Somerville, as the 5-5 Seminoles face the 8-3 Dayton Flyers in a very intriguing non-conference matchup. The Flyers are one of the worst teams in the country at guarding the three-ball, allowing a gaudy 38.6% of made threes. Florida State attempts well over 50% of their shots from behind the arc, one of the highest rates in the country. Despite only averaging 19.2 fantasy points per game, Somerville could be your differential tonight.
G: Lajae Jones, Florida State ($5,000)
For all the same reasons as Somerville, we need to have Lajae Jones in our lineup. Florida State already let Jones go nuts this season against Georgia Southern, when he attempted a ridiculous 21 three pointers, making 10 of them en route to a 36-point performance.
Jones also leads the team in blocks and averages 4.4 boards a game. At just $5,000, he's worth a gamble against one of the worst three-point defenses in the country.

For a guard, Sharavjamts is a rebounding machine, leading the Gamecocks with 6.6 rebounds per game. Tonight, they face a very balanced Clemson Tigers team that doesn't necessarily pride themselves on size.
The Mongolian is coming into his own this season and has been putting in some fantastic recent performances that have seen his price rise to as much as $6,900.
F: Tyler Tejada, Towson ($6,000)
Against the Kansas Jayhawks, this is a bit of a gamble. Tejada has performed miraculously well against weaker opposition and is averaging 19 points and six boards a game (30.9 fantasy points).
However, in games against Houston and Central Florida, he was extremely limited. Nine days ago, against the Golden Knights, Tejada had just 13 points and one rebound in an 86-61 loss.
We don't know which version of Tejada will show up today, but as far as fantasy points go, he has the 12th-highest average among all available players and is available for just $6,000. We're going for it.
F: Caleb Wilson, North Carolina ($10,200)
Cameron Boozer is, by far, the best player in the country and gets a nice cupcake game tonight against last year's Atlantic Sun champions, Lipscomb. However, Duke is favored by 34 points tonight, and there's an extremely high chance that he'll either be taken out of the game early or play far below 100%.
This is why we've gone with Caleb Wilson as our high-priced option tonight. UNC hosts a very good East Tennessee State team tonight and are only favored by 14.5 points, so we think Wilson will be on the floor all night.
Wilson has been as consistent a 20-point, 10-rebound guy in the country as anyone this season, and we're expecting him to have another sensational game against a team who doesn't have anyone over 6-foot-8 on the roster.
F: Cam Morris III, East Tennessee State ($5,500)
East Tennessee State will be an extremely interesting test for the North Carolina Tar Heels tonight. The Buccaneers are no pushovers, and they should show up for their first real test of the season.
Morris is their leading scorer, despite only playing 23 minutes a game. After playing for UMass-Lowell for his first three seasons, he'll be more than amped up to play against one of the best teams in the country in a starring role.
Play $5 in Fantasy Entries, Get $75 in Fantasy Bonus Entries UTIL: Brian Taylor, East Tennessee State ($6,900)
Averaging 28.3 fantasy points per game, Taylor takes, by far, the most field goal attempts per game and should have full reign to take over tonight against UNC. He also provides stout defense, averaging 1.6 steals per game.
He'll be on the floor from start to finish tonight, and we absolutely love this pick as one of our cheeky pickups.
UTIL: Grant Asman, Lipscomb ($5,200)
With only $5,700 left in the bank, we had to decide on our final player, and it was a pretty easy decision. We're going with a guy who's averaging nearly 30 fantasy points per game and hasn't produced worse than 24 fantasy points since the second game of the season.
Regardless of how Lipscomb does tonight, Asman will get to play a whole lot of basketball, and should get to pad his stats. He's been especially impressive on defense lately, racking up six blocks and two steals over his last two games.
