NFL Week 18 Anytime Touchdown Picks

Dolphins at Jets: WR Davante Adams Over +135 on DraftKings

I’m going to come right out and say it: This is just me buying into a narrative.

Davante Adams hinted that he wants to catch Aaron Rodgers’ 500th touchdown pass. I’m certain, given that he orchestrated a trade for Adams, that Rodgers wants Adams to catch his 500th touchdown pass.

On a lot of teams, that might not matter. But this is a team where the QB who has agency over who catches touchdown passes also probably has the organizational pull to make it happen. Whatever level of control you believe Rodgers has with the Jets, it certainly seems likely to be enough that he can force-feed his buddy a touchdown in the last game of a dead season.

If Adams were sitting at -120, I might not be tempted to pull the trigger on it. But at a solid plus number, I think it’s worth a look. And given that Rodgers is sitting at 499, it’s probably worth just playing first touchdown, which I don’t think I’ve said in this space all season.

Panthers at Falcons: RB Raheem Blackshear +200

This is another pretty basic cap. I hate to be this reductive, but I’ll just put it simply: A starting running back in a game with a total of 48.5 is +200 to score. That seems kind of crazy to me.

Now, let’s put a few quick numbers out there. Blackshear received 77% of the RB snaps last week, with Chuba Hubbard on IR. Mike Boone received the other 23%. That’s a pretty large edge in Blackshear’s favor. He also received eight opportunities (targets + carries) to Boone’s four. Again, advantage Blackshear.

Carolina’s expected to be playing from behind, but handoffs are still likely to happen in the red zone at some point. It certainly seems like Blackshear is the favorite to receive them.

I like the Panthers to keep this game reasonable, so I definitely like Blackshear’s chances of scoring at a pretty high price.

Giants at Eagles: WR Malik Nabers Over +150 on Caesars

Nabers is coming off another incredible game, one in which the Giants’ passing game actually showed some life. Now, he gets to face backup defensive backs for the Eagles in a spot where the opposing coaching staff is probably going to throw out a vanilla game plan and call it a week.

And he’s still nearly +200? Why wouldn’t Nabers come out and dunk on these backups when he’s basically been doing it all year against starters?

Nabers did pop up on the injury report on Thursday with limited participation due to a toe injury. However, he has been listed as questionable in many recent weeks. He keeps going out there and performing. He certainly seems committed to seeing the season through, and the team is probably happy to give reps if he wants them.

I’m a bit leery of buying into this Giants offense coming off a spike week. But I believe in the player, and the price looks right.

What Are NFL Anytime Touchdown Odds?

If you are new to these wagers, you are betting on a player to score a touchdown. Remember that quarterbacks must run (or receive) for a touchdown to cash the prop — passing touchdowns do not apply to ATTD odds at NFL betting sites.

Thus, these are primarily the domain of offensive skill players, although you’ll find long odds for defensive and special teams players to score. Some NFL betting apps may lump “special teams/defense” into one bet.
