NFL Week 16 Anytime Touchdown Picks

Cardinals at Panthers: TE Trey McBride Over +120 on DraftKings

McBride is the center of a much-publicized record-setting touchdown reception drought (he ran one against Chicago). At 89 receptions without a TD, he’s currently in possession of the NFL record for the most catches without a spike.

Could the drought finally end?

Well, the Cardinals are leaning on their rushing attack per usual here. They’re big favorites, and Arizona is in the bottom two in rush defense EPA/play, Success Rate, and DVOA.

Still, they’ve been entirely unable to contain opposing TEs as well. Only the Bengals have allowed more PPR fantasy points per game to the position.

With the Cardinals having one of the higher implied team totals of the week, this would seem to be the perfect chance for McBride to end the red-zone frustration.

Browns at Bengals: RB Jerome Ford Over +160 on DraftKings

Jerome Ford once again finds himself atop the Browns RB depth chart. Nick Chubb broke his foot and is out for the year.

Aside from Jerry Jeudy, Ford was the only thing going for the Browns last week against K.C. He ran for 84 yards on just seven carries, showcasing his speed with a 62-yard scamper. He also had a 45-yard kickoff return.

For the most part, he’s been more effective than Chubb anyway this season.

Ford also gets a soft opponent for his latest attempt to establish his value as a pro back. Cincinnati ranks in the bottom three for rush defense EPA/play and success rate. The Browns’ offensive line isn’t what it used to be, but Ford should still have a chance to pile up some stats.

Switching from Jameis Winston to Dorian Thompson-Robinson at QB also benefits Ford. The Browns will probably lean more into the run rather than airing it out as Winston prefers.

49ers at Dolphins: TE George Kittle Over +170 on DraftKings

The 49ers are yet another team dealing with RB injuries. Their situation has reached the point of dark comedy, with the top three backs all out, leaving practice squad fodder Patrick Taylor Jr. and/or Ke’Shawn Vaughn and/or Israel Abanikanda to handle backfield duties.

That might mean more focus on the passing game here, which should benefit Kittle.

Jauan Jennings has stepped up to lead the WR room, but he might see a bunch of Jalen Ramsey here. Kittle’s been the top guy in the red zone, leading the team in targets there and ranking second to Jennings.

Perhaps the team should give Deebo Samuel more rushing opportunities, but he’s tough to buy into given his season.

Kittle should be the money man here, and DraftKings has a rather generous price compared to the rest of the market. Bettors can buy in before this number (around +180) corrects.

What Are NFL Anytime Touchdown Odds?

If you are new to these wagers, you are betting on a player to score a touchdown. Remember that quarterbacks must run (or receive) for a touchdown to cash the prop — passing touchdowns do not apply to ATTD odds at NFL betting sites.

Thus, these are primarily the domain of offensive skill players, although you’ll find long odds for defensive and special teams players to score. Some NFL betting apps may lump “special teams/defense” into one bet.
