Eagles at Ravens: WR A.J. Brown Over +130 on Bet365
The Baltimore Ravens own some pretty stark run/pass splits. While they’ve been elite stopping the run, they rank 17th or worse in three major pass defense metrics (DVOA, EPA/play, Success Rate). They’re also not great at pressuring the QB, which has traditionally been an issue for Jalen Hurts.
Thus, an Eagles offense that has relied heavily on the ground game to produce touchdowns (22 out of 35 TDs on the ground) may find itself more inclined to throw for scores.
A.J. Brown should find himself front and center for catching any of those. DeVonta Smith is still banged up and missed Wednesday’s practice. We’ll see if he even plays. TE Dallas Goedert has only scored once this season.
Saquon Barkley will remain a threat, but Brown should be in a good position to thrive against this Ravens secondary. With Hurts and Barkley eating up tons of the TD equity, the wideout offers a friendly price.
Buccaneers at Panthers: RB Bucky Irving +110
The Tampa Bay running back committee is starting to get some clarity. Bucky Irving appears to be securing the lion’s share of the work as the rookie gains the coaching staff’s trust.
Last week, Irving accounted for half of the 36 opportunities (carries plus targets) given to Buccaneers backs. All he did was produce more than 150 total yards and a score.
Carolina ranks 32nd in Adjusted Line Yards on defense. Name your defensive metric. This group is in the bottom three. Thanks in part to injuries, replacement-level players litter the roster.
Everyone on Tampa Bay will have a chance to feast here, but Irving should lead the charge. He should probably be favored to find the end zone here if he continues to get around half of the touches.
