I became a sports journalist as a result of my love for sports and a passion for writing.
How do you research and verify the information in your articles?
I always go to major sports hubs like ESPN, and for other information, I go straight to the source on the official websites of the major leagues.
What is most important for you when writing sports content?
The most important thing is writing content based on real facts and stats. I always try to create content that engages the reader by providing useful information.
Do you have any direct experience in sports (playing, coaching, officiating, or analytics)?
I played many sports growing up and had to choose among basketball, soccer, baseball, and volleyball in high school. Maybe not the wisest decision to pick hoops and volleyball (sports where being tall helps), and while a 6-footer, I was never the tallest person on the court. Volleyball became my passion, so I played in college and professionally on the beach and indoors in Europe.
