PGA Tour golf continues on the California swing, as the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in Monterrey is next on tap this Thursday. Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, and Collin Morikawa are the favorites among AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am bets this week. As usual, John Haslbauer provides his favorite PGA Tour picks from among the latest golf odds. Below, you’ll find the best odds from multiple sports betting sites for each player.

The second signature event of 2025 is just about underway in California. Action begins this Thursday for the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am at Spyglass Hill and the famed Pebble Beach Golf Links.

Though this event is usually susceptible to the elements on the Pacific coastline in Monterrey, I’m actually even more excited to see it played in more benign conditions. We’ve seen a Saturday and Monday finish over the last two years. Even if less severe than years past, this week should call for a heightened importance on scrambling around the small Poa greens, with skilled short-iron players best equipped to handle Pebble Beach.

Ahead, we’ll go through all the bets I’ve placed for the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

HOW I BUILT MY AT&T PEBBLE BEACH PRO-AM BETs

I took a slightly different approach to building my Pebble Beach bets. Scottie Scheffler’s presence alone elevates the baseline players need to compete this week, as I expect him to linger around the top of the leaderboard even if he doesn’t have his best stuff. With that in mind, I sought players who can out-putt Scheffler on Poa greens and who have actively built their schedule around this tournament before it was a signature event. Wyndham Clark won this event with his putter alone last year while setting the course record. So, I’ve primarily built my card around players capable of doing the same.

In terms of unit allocations for my card, it’s back to business as usual with a full card of exposure for the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am while removing FRL bets. A limited field split between two courses is not the most conducive to finding betting value, so I’ve opted to roll out a slightly under-exposed card this week.

AT&T PEBBLE BEACH PRO-AM BETS: OUTRIGHTS (3.5 UNITS)

Patrick Cantlay

My bet: +2200
Best available odds: Patrick Cantlay +1800 on FanDuel

My featured spotlight player this week, Cantlay seems to enter this week with fewer question marks surrounding his current form and course fit than the favorites in this field. Cantlay has stayed sharp this season with a T15 at the Sentry and T5 at the American Express.

While overdue for his next PGA Tour win, his game is all there at the moment, with nine consecutive top-25 finishes. It’s been more of the same consistency at Pebble Beach as well for Cantlay. He’s finished inside the top 50 in all eight prior appearances. He sets up well to chase his sixth career top-11 finish at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Jason Day

My bet: +4000
Best available odds: Jason Day +10000 on FanDuel

The course history king at Pebble Beach (for as long as Phil Mickelson stays away from the PGA Tour), this is a pretty palatable number for the veteran Australian who enters in great form. Day loves coming to Pebble Beach and has posted 13 top-25 finishes in 15 career appearances. Despite the repeated success, he’s likely to remain motivated as he’s still searching for his first career win at this event.

Day is one of the best Poa putters of all time. And although he’s gotten off to a slow start on the greens this year, I expect those putts to start dropping soon.

Maverick McNealy

My bet: +6000
Best available odds: Maverick McNealy +5000 on FanDuel

If there’s one week to feel confident in Maverick McNealy, it’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am week. You’ll hear Jim Nantz tell the story of McNealy growing up in Pebble Beach and living on the course too many times this weekend. But his results certainly back up the narrative that he’s overly familiar with this course. He has a pair of top-five finishes in five career starts.

McNealy is at his best on California courses and should enter this event with more confidence than ever before. He’s just four starts removed from picking up his first career PGA Tour win at the RSM Classic.

Shane Lowry

My bet: +6600
Best available odds: Shane Lowry +5000 on FanDuel

It’s called Pebble Beach Golf Links, so naturally, I’m drawn to the Irishman here any time the elements are at play. Lowry remains in fantastic form, ranking top five in SG: APP over the last 16 rounds, with a streak of eight consecutive top-15 finishes halted last week.

A short course in windy conditions with an emphasis on iron play and scrambling is the quintessential fit for Lowry’s game. He’s available at a pretty nice discount with how top-heavy this week’s field is.

Akshay Bhatia

My bet: +8000
Best available odds: Akshay Bhatia +35000 on FanDuel

Bhatia is one of the most skilled young talents in the game of golf right now. He has all the shots in his bag to navigate a quirky and windy setup like Pebble Beach Golf Links. He’s played this event once before, famously hitting every green in regulation in his debut round. Nobody has done that since 2008. Already a two-time winner on the PGA Tour, Bhatia could launch himself into Ryder Cup conversations with a signature win this week.

Robert MacIntyre

My bet: +8000
Best available odds: Robert Macintyre +15000 on FanDuel

My favorite value on the board this week, we’re getting a slight discount on the two-time winner in 2024, likely due to his lack of course history. While Pebble Beach is not your traditional links course, its coastal setup and exposure to the elements draws me to a player like MacIntyre who has had such steady success at the Scottish and British Opens historically. Like Bhatia, a win this week would launch him off of the Ryder Cup bubble.

Justin Rose

My bet: +17000
Best available odds: Justin Rose +6500 on FanDuel

This is a headscratcher of a number for me and one that has made Rose one of the most popular bets in the community this week. I don’t always bet each ways. But at this price, I’ve also tacked on a little each-way insurance with Scottie Scheffler present in this golf tournament.

Rose is two years removed from winning this event in the last year it was played against a full field. And while his form leaves something to be desired, it’s far from a red flag to cross him off my list. Rose has just one missed cut and three top-25 finishes over his last seven starts and tends to elevate his putting baseline on these familiar, small greens at Pebble Beach.

Nico Echavarria

My bet: +20000
Best available odds: Nico Echavarria +15000 on DraftKings

Could this be the year of Nico? If nothing else, he’s proven to be a coastal course specialist, as Echavarria picked up his first career win at the Puerto Rico Open in 2023. He has finished T6 (WWT Championship), T2 (RSM Classic), and T2 (Sony Open) within his last six starts. He also picked up an impressive win at the ZOZO Championship in October, outdueling Justin Thomas toe-to-toe in the final round. I’m fine with dismissing Echavarria’s past performance at Pebble Beach, as he’s currently in the midst of a heater we’ve never seen from him before.

AT&T PEBBLE BEACH PRO-AM BETS: PROPS (2.5 UNITS)

Full Tournament Matchup: Russell Henley > Beau Hossler

My bet: -120
Best available odds: Russell Henley -110 on BetMGM

This is a very interesting matchup to me on paper. Both players seem overdue to regress to their means at Pebble Beach. Russell Henley has been immaculate at every short coastal comp course to Pebble Beach but simply has not found his groove yet here. Some of that is likely due to being uncomfortable on Poa greens, but he has the tools to ball-strike his way to a top 20, even if the putter continues to give him issues. Hossler, on the other hand, is in the midst of a hot run of form and has a very good track record at Pebble Beach. That may sound like a green light special, but in this elevated field, I have my doubts as to whether he can keep that baseline up.

Top-20 Finish: Justin Rose

My bet: +360
Best available odds: Justin Rose +320 on BetMGM

The disrespect for Rose is real this week, and I now find myself heavily invested. I’m taking a stance on the importance of course history this week and love targeting players who have built their schedule around this event each year who are very comfortable putting on Poa greens.

Top-20 Finish: Nico Echavarria

My bet: +360
Best available odds: Nico Echavarria +300 on BetMGM

Echavarria’s current run reminds me a bit of Sepp Straka’s come-up, where a seemingly mediocre journeyman suddenly found something at the age of 30 and hasn’t looked back. Echavarria is now a two-time PGA Tour winner who has thrived on coastal venues and found himself in contention on Sunday in four of his last seven starts. There’s plenty to like about him in this market.

One And Done

My pick: Maverick McNealy

It’s probably an over-aggressive strategy to dig this far down the board for a player like McNealy in a signature event. I could realistically go the full season without using McNealy in OAD and not regret it. But you have to take a few stances to find your edge over a long OAD season. I believe McNealy stacks up as a high-leverage choice at low ownership despite the clear course fit and solid form. There will be ample opportunities to use Scheffler, McIlroy, Thomas, Morikawa, Aberg, and Matsuyama later on in this season. And with players like DeChambeau, Koepka, and Cam Smith available in the majors, I don’t mind getting a little cute in one of the signature events here.

If not McNealy, I would also consider Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantlay, and Jason Day as OAD plays this week.
