Arkansas vs. Alabama: Predictions, How To Watch and Best Bets for Tonight’s NCAAB Game
There might not be any stopping the Arkansas offense. The Razorbacks are tied for third in the nation in made baskets per game. They average 88.8 points a night. Arkansas hasn’t seen a number less than 70 on the scoreboard since its second game of the season.
But Alabama can score the basketball pretty well itself. The Crimson Tide are even better at scoring, averaging 91.8 points per game. Their offense ranks third nationally because it plays fasts and forces mistakes. Alabama doesn’t make as many shots as Arkansas, but it makes up for it by getting fouls and converting its free throws.
In short, this should be a fast-paced thriller.

Arkansas vs. Alabama Prediction
Best Bet: Alabama -4.5 (-110, via Caesars Sportsbook)
Has Arkansas turned the corner on the road, or have the Razorbacks simply been playing weaker teams? Arkansas has a 22-point loss at Auburn and a 14-point loss at Georgia, while owning no road wins over a likely tournament team. Against Michigan State and Duke, the Razorbacks’ offense didn’t do enough, leaving Arkansas with a pair of defeats.
Alabama isn’t going to let up on offense, and it’s been excellent at scoring on its home floor. Only Tennessee, which plays a drastically different style to the Tide, has been able to gum up Alabama’s offense. Arkansas isn’t going to do that, and Alabama has a critical X-factor in its free throw shooters.
Arkansas, typical of John Calipari’s teams, isn’t great from the foul line. Alabama is, and if the Tide get a lead, they’ll be able to push this to cover territory.
Arkansas vs. Alabama Same Game Parlay
- Alabama -4.5
- Under 184.5
- Darius Acuff Jr. Under 23.5 Points
It’s crazy to think the books might have found a number too high, but it looks like they did. Arkansas hasn’t slowed down in months, but it also hasn’t played a good defensive team in a while. Alabama isn’t a top-tier defense, but that’s also because it plays so fast that both teams get a lot of possessions.
Alabama has played six SEC home games to date this season. Five of them could not match this total. That was not the fault of the Crimson Tide’s offense; Alabama scored at least 88 points in five of those games. The Alabama defense is better than it gets credit for, and that makes this a potential fade spot for Darius Acuff Jr.
Acuff, Arkansas’ outstanding freshman, knocked down seven 3-pointers in Arkansas’ win at home over Auburn. In the Razorbacks’ first meeting with Auburn, he went just 2-for-6 and the Tigers won by 22. Alabama has no doubt seen the difference in those two games and will look to force Arkansas to adjust.
Acuff should still approach 20 points because he’s that talented, but 23.5 will be tough to hit if Alabama pulls him away from his preferred shots.
