Tyler Shough Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+280)
🏈 Odds via FanDuel📈
Look at us, right off the bat, we're going with a quarterback to scamper into the end zone today. The New Orleans Saints have rarely been a favorite this season, at one point looking like the worst team in all of football. Unexpectedly, their second-round rookie gunslinger has been a bit of a steadying force on Bourbon Street, enjoying a surprise 3-3 record as a starter.
After back-to-back upsets against NFC South rivals and co-division leaders Tampa Bay and Carolina, they get to host the hapless New York Jets. The line has grown significantly since it was set, going from -1.5 to -6.5. Clearly, the betting population is ultra-confident in the Saints to get it done at home, and so are we.
Shough has grown the confidence to use his legs more often since getting acclimated to the NFL, which resulted in a pair of rushing touchdowns in their win over the Buccaneers. It's worth remembering he ran for 11 touchdowns in college in 32 career starts. Against the Jets, he could find paydirt once more.
Amon-Ra St. Brown Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-120)
🏈 Odds via DraftKings📈
The Lions-Steelers game appears on paper to be one of the mismatches of the century, while Vegas only thinks it's going to be a seven-point game. There's no reason Jared Goff won't go off and put up insane stats, and Amon-Ra St. Brown is set to be a major beneficiary.
After it was feared that an ankle injury he suffered against the Packers would cause him to miss games, St. Brown didn't miss anytime whatsoever and has produced some unbelievable results. The 26-year-old is coming off his best game of the season, producing a gaudy 13/164/2 against the Rams after a 6/92 effort in his comeback against the Cowboys.
Nico Collins Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+106)
🏈 Odds via Caesars Sportsbook📈
Nico Collins has been a steady source of production over the last three seasons, clinching his third consecutive 1,000+ yard receiving season last week against the Cardinals, where he put up a sexy 3/85/2 line.
While the Raiders have a rather average defense when it comes to yards, they're 25th in the league in scoring defense (25.9ppg), 20th in red zone defense (60% touchdown rate), and dead last in third down defense (48.9% allowed). Simply put, the Raiders allow teams to stay on the field and produce.
The Texans are two-touchdown favorites and will be ultra-motivated to run up the score with their playoff future very much in the balance. Nico Collins should be heavily involved, and we love for him to score his seventh receiving touchdown of the season today.
Brashard Smith Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+950)
🏈 Odds via FanDuel📈
If you're looking for fantastic value, we think this is the way to go today. The Kansas City Chiefs have been eliminated from playoff contention, and Patrick Mahomes is done for the foreseeable future with a torn ACL. We have no idea what the gameplan is going into their game against the Tennessee Titans today, but they are only 2.5-point favorites with Gardner Minshew under center.
We personally think that the starters will probably play a half before giving way to the backups and third-string guys. Yes, the Chiefs just signed Dameon Pierce to the active roster, but they do have a seventh-round rookie running back in Brashard Smith who has impressed, especially as a pass-catching tailback.
At +950 in a meaningless football game, we can't help but sprinkle this pick into our forecast this weekend.
Javonte Williams Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-150)
🏈 Odds via FanDuel📈
We're expecting an absolute shootout today between the Chargers and the Cowboys, so it's only fitting that we put at least one player from this game into our anytime touchdown scorer piece today.
With the year Williams is having (1,113 yards, 12 total touchdowns, 4.8 yards per carry), this one feels like free money. We were honestly expecting a much worse price than this, so go out and get him.
