To kick off Thanksgiving among the odds for NFL Week 13, the 9-2 Detroit Lions renew their NFC North rivalry with the 4-7 Chicago Bears at Ford Field. You rarely see two running backs on the same team higher than -150 among the odds of an anytime touchdown. It’s the case for the Lions’ David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs. But I’m more intrigued by a couple of longshots, including Odunze.

Sportsbooks opened this point spread above double digits, and favorites of -10 or greater are 5-2 ATS this year. Even though Detroit has been a gravy train for bettors, its banged-up secondary is worrisome against Chicago’s rejuvenated passing game.

With that in mind, Odunze should feast on the outside in 11 personnel. He’s manufactured the team’s second-most targets (20) during its last two contests, correlating with the Bears handing off their offensive coordinator duties to Thomas Brown in lieu of Shane Waldron.

The Lions’ defense has received some positive fortune in the red zone, surrendering the second-lowest touchdown rate in the NFL.

In Week 12, Indianapolis settled for two field goals inside Detroit’s 10-yard line. In one instance, Colts tight end Alex Ogletree dropped a wide-open score. Whether Caleb Williams and Co. operate in a neutral state or face a substantial deficit, their most optimal path to success is attacking the Lions through the air.

Odunze should be one of the primary beneficiaries, particularly in the red zone. Consider wagering some pizza money on his ATTD odds.

Like Odunze, Kmet’s ATD price tag makes for an alluring longshot wager on Turkey Day. He benefited heavily from Chicago’s negative game script in its overtime loss to Minnesota on Sunday, corralling 7-of-10 targets for 64 yards.

Granted, Kmet hasn’t found the end zone since the Bears demolished the Jaguars in Week 6, and the Lions allow the fewest receiving yards per game to the position. However, with Kmet’s target share slowly increasing, I’ll throw a small bet on him in what will likely evolve into a pass-heavy script for Chicago.
