Inter Miami is riding high in second position in the current Eastern Conference standings after amassing an impressive 39 points from 20 league games. The Florida outfit is already 18 points above Toronto.

The Canadians have climbed up to 11th in the Eastern table after going three matches undefeated. Fraser’s boys still have work to do to get in the playoffs, but they are now just three points behind ninth-place DC United.

Inter Miami was flying after six straight MLS wins from early May to late July. However, the Herons have not hit the same heights since returning to action from the 2026 FIFA World Cup break.

Since a hard-fought 1-0 away triumph at CF Montreal, Inter Miami is winless in three MLS games. They drew 2-2 with Columbus Crew before a heavy 4-1 defeat to Nashville SC.

Inter responded from last weekend’s loss in Tennessee with a 2-2 tie away at Philadelphia Union. Miami fell behind but was 2-1 ahead by half time.

Toronto Extends Unbeaten Run to Three

Toronto ended its long winless streak with a much-needed 2-1 home victory over New England Revolution last weekend. Niklas Dorsch hit the winner on the stroke of half time.

The Reds followed that up with a battling 3-3 draw with Charlotte FC in midweek. Fraser’s troops were 3-1 down with a man less, but two late goals rescued a point.

Toronto has made itself tough to beat since returning to action from the World Cup pause, losing just one of six MLS games. However, last week’s triumph over the Revs was the team’s first MLS victory since April.
