2026 NFL Draft: Top 5 Trade Buzz Ramps Up
The phones are heating up less than a week before the NFL Draft.
ESPN's NFL Insider Jeremy Fowler reported Saturday on X that "teams starting to work phones for trades up/down," with belief in league circles that both Arizona (No. 3) and Tennessee (No. 4) are open to moving back.
Fowler also noted that Dallas (Nos. 12 and 20) is being watched closely due to obvious defensive needs, though the Cowboys "not overly active on phones yet." He noted they are "open-minded about potential move but also comfortable staying put."
2026 NFL Draft Trade Buzz Begins Before First Round
Both the Cardinals and Titans have a ton of roster holes to fill. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported earlier this week on X that "QB Jacoby Brissett is not attending Phase 1 of the offseason program and is asking for an extension that pays him as the starter."
Take that information for what it's worth. That said, it's obvious Brissett isn't the long-term answer at QB, but many draft prognosticators believe Arizona could simply take the best overall player available at No. 3.
As for Tennessee, the needs are clear — edge rusher and offensive help top the list. The Titans have been connected by many to Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love. Tennessee is the Vegas favorite to be selected at No. 4. by the Titans, according to DraftKings odds. Linebacker Sonny Styles could also still be on the board if Tennessee decides to address the defensive side.
A team like Dallas could swing for the fences and leapfrog multiple teams to grab a blue-chip player. The Titans and Cardinals could look to accumulate picks and fill roster holes by trading down. The first round of the NFL Draft is set for this Thursday evening in Pittsburgh.
